Most of us get Private Messages [PM] arriving in our inbox here from handles that just see our reviews or our comments to reviews or our forum posts, I suspect.
A couple of guys I have gotten to know thru other sites have now joined up here on our site and I know their handles, but I realized when I went to send messages to them here that I feel silly not knowing how to do it!
If a handle here hasn't posted a review/member comment/forum post, then what I've done is gone to the My Account tab and looked at Active Members in My Area or whatever it's called. Then, when I see the handle I want to drop a PM to, I click on it and it gives me the option to send a message. If I can't find the guy there, then I'm kind of out of options for sending him a PM! I think!
But, I must just be overlooking it or something, is there truly a "compose new message" box or something in the My Private Messages homepage where you can just type in a handle as the recipient and I just don't see it? I also then went looking for a "Help" or "FAQ's" area and didn't find that.
Sometimes I realize just how NOT a techy-guy I am! Thanks for any help anyone can offer. Feel free to laugh at me. I am!
TIME, for your info, I have used the "Contact Us" at the top right of this page and described my problem or made a suggestion and they have been fairly responsive. Give that a try if you can't resolve what you are pursuing.
