I was raised one of them, sure didn't last long. Guess I just didn't fit in with that group.

StrokerAce,

I have not read all of what your Nebraska neighbors want to do to the Ho Industry. However, if it is a step toward usurping our liberty, then by all means encourage votes against it. Even LE should be against it; because it is going to be hell to enforce it; and, LE has many other tasks it can be performing for our communities.

As for the Presbyterians, I like them. They have done some good things in the areas of social harmony, race relations, and college education in our nation. They also have a fairly sensible theological doctrine. There are other denominations that are much more restrictive.

I pray that no laws pass that restrict our hobby.

Hmmmm, I think you took my comments wayyyyy too seriously. First, I do not live in that state. Secondly, I could have said Mormons...it was just a tongue in cheek comment. The main story is the licensing of escorts in that state. It makes it easier for cops to bust escorts and their johns. No license, no way you are getting away Scot free.

The bill, as written, would require an escort agency to have a written contract with each client, stating the services performed and the amount paid. It has to include the name and address of the client and a copy of each contract has to be sent to the local state permit authority. Then, "The local permit authority shall treat such contracts transmitted to them as open public records" -- basically creating a written record, open to the public, of all escort agencies' clients.

That was just a bill in the Nebraska Legislature.

"I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill."

Anyone know if it passed and became a law?

Not yet...but if it did and yielded some arrests, you can be sure that some "get tough on crime" politicians in other states would view this as a way to sustain their anti-crime reputations.
