to Jade Heart Health CenterNoticed a police car in front of Jade on the way home tonight. (I pass by there coming home from work). Not sure what was/is going on, but I don't think it is a good development. Hopefully nothing major.
I was there on 4/8/11, police car out front again around 11:30pm. Mamasan said not to worry, so I pulled around back. She said car has been consistent parking there to catch speeders. She has witnessed the police car chasing down speeding vehicles. Not sure why they picked this specific spot, or how they can use a house parking lot. Does seem a little odd/scary though. She told me that customers have called on this issue, and some have stayed away.
They technically can't use private property to run radar (surveillance equipment)without a warrent, or permission from the property owner/manager.
However I would guess they 'asked' for permission either literally walking up and asking the mamasan or by assuming that if push came to shove and someone contested a ticket on those grounds they could get her to say she had given permission. Any non-cooperation on the part of the spa would obviously not be good for business.
