to Sun SpaI had a long talk with Mamasans Sammy and Sunny. I got the full story about the review on Coco.
Apparently, the individual that wrote this negative review was actually covering up another issue unrelated to a massage session. It appears that the massage session never happened nor did the guy ever pay for a session. The whole story may have been fabricated.
As Mr. Handsome stated, it is not fair to rate a session that never occurred.
Plus, Mamasan Sammy would have most assuredly returned the money for a session that someone did not have.
I have sent the guy a PM asking that the individual contact the webmaster and request that the review be deleted.
Sun is too good of a spa to receive two thumbs down. BTW, I am not trying to be "holier than thou". I am just trying to keep our spa the best spa in the USA!
Mamasan Sammy was extremely upset about the review because the review was completely unfair. It's about fairness, nothing else.
Can you imagine working from 7 AM to 4 AM every day taking good care of us guys and then some guy writing a fictitious review? Don't you think she has the right to be upset?
Reviews definitely matter. That is the primary reason I purchased a membership on this site...in order to gain as much info as possible to accurately form my decision on who to see or not see.
Validity of reviews are very important in this aspect....yes, we go by the honor code, but what else is there?
I agree the folks at Sun have a right to be upset if the review was a fabrication or embellished.
When I was driving back to Illinois yesterday, I received a call from Mamasan Sammy. Sammy told me that the negative review was deleted. I checked today and it is gone.
Whoever helped out, thanks! Special thanks to Goodfield!
I take it from the last comment that Sammy is aware of this site and the fame she is getting as a result. I have always been leery of mentioning this site to mamasans, since you can never be sure how they would react and I would hate to spoil things.
I will go to the spa that I believe gives the greatest chance of providing the type of experience I enjoy when visiting a spa. White knights has nothing to do with that decision process. Sun Spa has gained a reputation of providing the best chance of a great time for many customers. It's as simple as that. Let's be honest. These spas want to make money. Most of us view these girls as sperm receptacles. It's a business transaction. I appreciate Sun Spa because Sammy has taken care of me as a valued repeat customer. She's a good business woman. I also enjoy the Tokyo Spa and have been treated very well there. I have visited the Fuji, the VIP, Four Seasons, and several others in the Warren area. The Sun has been consistently good, so reputation is important, even though on occasion, the Sun has been disappointing. It can't be great every time. But once the manager knows you well, your chances of being treated better increase. So a lot of it is just playing the odds. Which place can I go to and have the highest chance of having a great time? The Sun is high on my list.
